In Section 4g, subsection 2, the BDSG (Federal German Data Protection Act) stipulates that the data protection officer has, pursuant to Section 4e, to make the following information available to all persons in a suitable fashion:

Purpose of data collection, processing or utilization (Section 4e, subsection 4 BDSG):

The data collection, processing or utilization operations serve the purpose of operating a cold-rolling mill and the distribution of the projects manufactured therein.

Description of the groups of persons affected and of the data or data categories relating thereto (Section 4e, subsection 5 BDSG):

Personal data mainly belonging to the following groups of persons are collected, processed and utilized:

Customer data (data consisting of addresses, bank accounts, if necessary data relating to liquidity and creditworthiness, and data relating to orders)
Suppliers’ data (data consisting of addresses, bank accounts, if necessary quality-related data)
Data of employees for staff management, employee development, and accounting purposes, and also data of pensioners
Data of prospective customers (address data, data relating to interest in products, projects)
Business partners (address data, data relating to interest in products, projects)

insofar as these data are necessary for fulfilling the purposes specified in Section 4.

Recipients or categories of recipients who can be notified of the data (Section 4e, subsection 6 BDSG):

Public agencies that receive data on the basis of statutory regulations (e.g. social security bodies, fiscal authorities)
In-house units involved in the execution of the various business processes and procedures (e.g. human resources management, accounting, purchasing, marketing, sales and distribution, telecommunication and IT departments)
External contractors (service enterprises) as defined in Section 11 BDSG
Other external bodies such as banks (payment of wages and salaries).

Standard deadlines for the deletion of the data (Section 4e, subsection 7 BDSG): The legislature has laid down various data retention obligations and time limits. When these time limits have lapsed, the corresponding data are deleted in a routine procedure. If data are not affected by the above, they are deleted when the purposes stated in Section 4 cease to apply.

Scheduled transfer of data to third countries (Section 4e, subsection 8 BDSG):
No transfer to third countries is currently planned.
